Tony's Mobile Vets

When the time comes, we'll be there.

A calm, unhurried home visit for your pet's last moments — in the place they feel safest, with the people who love them most nearby.

Our approach

Home is where this should happen.

Saying goodbye is never easy. We believe your pet deserves to be at home — surrounded by the people who love them, in the place they feel safest. Not a clinic waiting room. Not a car journey they don't understand. Not a room that smells of other animals' fear.

No clinical setting.

Your pet stays in their favourite spot — their bed, your lap, a sunny patch on the kitchen floor. Nothing about the day needs to feel medical.

No rush.

We book the visit long enough that you'll never feel pushed. The procedure itself takes only a few minutes; the rest of the time is yours.

The whole family can be there.

Partners, children, grandparents, other pets — whoever your pet's family is, they're welcome. We'll help everyone feel at ease, including the kids if it's their first time.

A gentle, unhurried process.

Home visits are booked for 60 minutes as standard, and 120 minutes for the private-cremation pathway. The procedure itself takes only a few minutes — the rest of the time is for you.

  1. The conversation.

We talk through the plan together. You tell us where your pet will be most comfortable, and we'll explain everything that's about to happen. If you need a few more minutes before we begin, you take them.

  2. Sedation.

A small injection to help your pet drift into a deep, peaceful sleep. They stay in your arms, on their bed, or wherever they're comfortable. This is the step that makes everything that follows gentle.

  3. The procedure.

Once your pet is fully asleep, we give the final injection. It's quick, painless, and they won't feel or know. We'll tell you when it's done, and we'll give you as long as you need afterwards.

  4. Aftercare.

We handle everything that comes next — cremation, ashes, keepsakes — so you don't have to make calls or drive anywhere. We'll talk through the options with you before the visit, so nothing on the day is a surprise.

This is the hardest call we take, and the most important visit we make. Nobody wants to think about this day, and when it comes it's always sooner than you hoped. What I can tell you is that the animals I've helped at home have always been calmer than the ones I've helped in a clinic. They're in their own bed, in their own smell, with the people whose hands they know. That's not a small thing. That's the whole thing.

Remembering your pet.

What happens afterwards is a personal choice. We'll talk you through the options before the visit, so you have time to think — and we handle all the arrangements on the day.

Communal cremation.

Your pet is cremated alongside other pets in a shared, respectful ceremony. Ashes are scattered at the crematorium grounds. This is the most chosen option.

Private cremation.

Your pet is cremated individually. Ashes are returned to you within 7–14 days in a quality wooden container. You can choose a different urn or scatter tube if you'd prefer.

Keepsakes.

A paw print in clay, a lock of fur — small things that stay with you. Available alongside either cremation option, or on their own.
